The Burma Road cycle track is an easy to intermediate grade ride of paved gravel terrain.

Access Burma Road off the unsealed Maraetotara Road in Ohope. Cycling up the unsealed road you will come accross an intersection where you can go straight ahead to Burma Road. The Burma Road Track is approximatley 9 kms through bush and farmland. The track takes you to the main road from Ohope to Whakatane where you can use the cycleway back down the hill to Ohope.

There are gates that access Ngati Awa owned land on Burma Road. They are usually locked but cyclists are permitted to lift bikes over the gate and ride through.
